So I have a handful of LEB lying around since I stumble upon this website. I mainly use them to host voip server, vpn proxy and backups....
I was reviewing what I have earlier today when my shared host send me a 'hey time to pay your bill soon' notice. It was on a 85$ yearly bill. I was quite happy with it as support was very quick and had only 2 issue over the course of 7 years. It may be a little bit expensive for some but I was hosting my aunt's company email there which was critical... Now I am just using it as casual hobby site and ~9 email account(3 imap that have been storing emails since 2003)
So I have been wondering if I can ditch the shared hosting, save those funds for more fun in leb and transfer the existing shared hosting to the few 128-2gb vps I horde. I can split the service, move the website easily and even play with haproxy. My main concern is what to do with emails as I understand maintaining a live email server can quite difficult for people who does not know what they are doing(me). I thought of google app before but it won't work as I have 4 domains and cost will be $$$, not to mention those 3 imap account I have that neither myself, sister or father wish to lose.
I am aware I will probably be waste a good amount of time and may lose the stability I enjoy previously but I recon this may be a good learning experience for myself.
So I was wondering if anyone can give me a few pointer what should I be looking for or please let me know if this is a terrible idea and stay with a shared host :)
