VolumeDrive has been working over the last few months in preparation for the opening of our new state-of-the-art datacenter facility in Scranton, PA. We are expecting our new facility to open first quarter of 2013.
Part of this opening includes a migration on a few of the servers that are currently hosted in our Jacksonville facility. If you are receiving this email, then your server will be part of the migration that is scheduled to take place on Friday, November 9th starting at 11AM GMT-5. This migration will provide faster, more robust network features, better stability, and improved support response times. We expect the migration to take up to 24 hours, during which time you will experience a service interruption. After the maintenance, IP addresses, IPMI, service, etc. will remain the same. We understand that this may come as an inconvenience, so on request, we can prepare a temporary server(s) running on our new cloud infrastructure to provide service in the interim free of charge. Cloud services will be supplied starting Wednesday evening (GMT -5) so that you can begin data backups, DNS changes, etc. to make this move as seamless as possible. To request cloud service, please reply to this email.
This migration is expected to take no longer than 24 hours. All servers and services, including IP addresses, will be restored to normal.
This will only affect select servers within our Jacksonville facility. If you have servers in our Scranton facility, they will not be affected.
